Interestingly, the new name in customer service at the airlines is Delta.  Rated by Business Travel News as the overal best customer service airline Delta had previously never topped their survey.  Having been a customer of Delta for 30+ years, I can honestly say that as a frequent business traveler, Delta truly is light years ahead of the competition.  So the question is how did they vastly improve on customer service compared to previous years of indifference?  What you hear from a lot of people is that service at Delta is starting to get back to how it was in the 70's and 80's when it was known for its southern style of warm service.  If you got an opinion offer it here. For my part, I think the executive team has focused on technology improvement everywhere and empowering "red coats" again have been a big part of the better service of late.  Integrating Northwest has definitely been a stumbling block however, in talking with other frequent flyers, we almost always can tell a NW aircraft (older, bins don't...

From time to time, when I find something relevant in the news about customer service, I'll add it to our blog.  It's about time that folks figure out that customer service is not long hold times with a representative who speaks English but doesn't understand a word you're saying!  Dave
